The brief
A group of entrepreneurs is creating their next startup, and you must decide what this will be. The group is looking to create a product that clearly stands out from the crowd and disrupts the category. They are looking for:
• A brand name and identity
• Packaging design concepts
• Off-pack activation
Under the categories of: Pistachio and Mushroom.

The Moodboard
Aesthetic language:
Smart-chic minimalism: fluid curves, matte textures, warm pistachio hues.
Upholstery options in organic linen or recycled leather in sand, olive, or sea-salt tones.
Fig 2: From the moodboard to the initial sketches
The design of the chair draws its primary inspiration from the organic, flowing contours of pistachio nuts. This influence is most evident in the pronounced curviness of the frame, which echoes the natural, rounded shell, creating a soft yet distinctive silhouette that blends ergonomic comfort with a striking visual aesthetic.
Fig 3: A refined chair
From the Initial Sketch, I tried to adjust it to adapt the chair to the concept of this project which stated as light, elegant, and structured - a dining chair that bridges craftsmanship and conviviality. Designed for modern Mediterranean living, where every meal is a conversation between nature and design.
3D MODEL
Fig 5: Rendering and applied texture to the chair
In the process of knowing how to use Blender to build this chair as well as visualizing it by applying the pistachio wooden texture to the chair, I’ve genuinely fathom how hard it was as a product designer =)). The first chair didn’t satisfy me because there were so many failures: dot connections or the base mesh were messed up, which made the chair look either distorted or punctured. Then I found this website called Tripod - an AI tool helping me to generate a 3D model from a sketch, which for me was a genius for people who don’t know how to use Blender professionally. I had put the sketch into the chat, then received so many versions of the chairs (I’ve attached images below); however, it wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be, so I decided to download the one most similar to my chair, and then I had to change 80% of the chair so it would adapt to my design.
